🌲Faces of Forestry: A Living Library
Forests are complex ecosystems that are often taken for granted. At a global level, the conversation on forests is only just beginning to gain traction, especially following the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework in 2022 and with the growing recognition that forests can be a nature-based solution to address the climate crisis and other needs. Despite this, the actual managers, caretakers, and others living and working with and adjacent to forests are often overlooked.
Our Faces of Forestry initiative is a Living Library, existing to close this gap, to showcase a human side to this sector, and to amplify the diversity of forests and the people and practices that keep them sustained and healthy. Journey with us around the world to meet some amazing youth forest leaders!
