In celebration of our 5th anniversary, we want to tell you a story. This short documentary highlights Youth4Nature's journey and work from 2019 to 2024, covering our efforts to educate, establish, and equip youth as climate-nature leaders through our Knowledge-Sharing, Storytelling, and Capacity-Building Pillars. We have many achievements from this time, and the ones that stand out the most include:
More than 30 webinars in over 4 languages and over 160 blogs, attracting almost 150,000 unique website visitors.
Hundreds of speaking opportunities to youth at international events, webinars and workshops.
2 global storytelling campaigns, collecting, sharing, and showcasing 200+ youth stories from 60+ countries.
In-person & virtual storycrafting workshops in more than 7 countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Syria, Egypt, the UK, and more.
INUKA pilot in Kenya, an on-ground, locally hosted nature-based solutions accelerator (NbS) project.
9 Global Delegations and over 50 youth sent to high-level international environmental policy events.
Together with GYBN and YOUNGO, led a global consultation engaging over 1000 youth worldwide to co-develop the NbS Global Youth Statement.
Over USD 50,500 distributed to support our volunteer team member’s access and participation in global environmental spaces.
Around USD 70,000 given in small and medium-sized grants to local youth implementing climate-nature solutions and projects in their communities.
Fundraised over CAD 2,250,000 since 2019 to support by-youth, for-youth projects and youth green jobs.
