Youth4Nature is recruiting a Board of Directors for the 2023 / 2024 term!
We are recruiting three (3) members to make up our Youth Board for a minimum of a one-year term beginning from the Annual General Assembly in August 2023 until the 2024 Annual General Assembly. This is a volunteer position with an estimated time commitment of about 60 hours per year.
Y4N is a rapidly growing, ambitious, and dynamic organization that is entirely youth-led. We are looking for youth Board of Directors who are excited to join a global youth team and motivated to contribute to an organization that is still in its early stages. We welcome the recruitment of Board members that are looking for a working space to actively shape and grow alongside. You would join a team of ambitious and determined young people with diverse experience from around the world, and be able to help us sustainably grow our reach to even more young leaders.
The youth Board of Directors will act as the Legal board members who will oversee our current/existing strategic and financial practices and provide guidance to ensure we abide by standard processes and regulations for a non-profit like ours and that our work matches our mission while also recognizing that Y4N is a horizontal organization and our strategy and budget are created horizontally through consensus building and/or majority voting among members.
In addition to overseeing Y4N as a whole, the legal board assists with major conflict and accountability management as well as providing guidance to the Y4N's leadership team, supporting them during critical decisions, offering strategic direction based on their cumulative experience and knowledge, and assisting the team with monitoring Y4N's performance in relation to its mission, objectives, core values, and reputation.

The members of the Y4N Board work in 3 positions:
President - Governance and act as the chair of the Board
Treasurer - Budgeting, Partnerships
Secretary- Membership, coordination, Partnerships
