Youth4Nature (Y4N) is seeking a confident, motivated, and enthusiastic Development Director to join our dynamic, global youth team and ensure that Y4N has necessary funding to function.
The role involves implementing and updating fundraising strategies, managing relationships with donors, identifying and applying to grants, and leading the Fundraising Committee. Strong communication and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team. Fundraising experience is preferred, but a willingness to learn is more important.
Y4N is still in its early stages and is looking for a team member who is passionate about collective organising, and motivated to contribute to Y4N development while also having the opportunity to shape and grow alongside the organisation.
About the role
Position Title: Development Director
Capacity: Full-time (35 hours/week with flexible hour distribution), contract
Location: Remote; applicants must be located within 6 hours (+/-) of UTC
Applicants must have access to a personal computer and stable internet connectivity (staff benefits at Y4N can be used to purchase office supplies once hired, if needed)
Term Length: 12 months
This role is part of our core operations and is thus central to our 2023-2024 (and beyond) funding strategy. Therefore, it is likely the position will extend beyond one year and we encourage candidates who are looking for long-term work opportunities as they are more likely to be considered for this position
Ideal Start Date: June 1st, 2023 (or earlier)
Reports to: As a member of a horizontal organisation, the Development Director reports to the broader Youth4Nature team, particularly the Fundraising Committee. The Managing Director is available for support and accountability practices.
Wages: USD$40,040 annually; equivalent to an hourly rate of USD$22 per hour
This position is restricted to youth between the ages of 18-30
Youth4Nature aims to promote youth employment in climate and nature, and we are open to adapting the role and providing training for the right candidate.
