Evan is a Canadian-American settler who lives on the unceded and unsurrendered territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Watuth First Nations (also known as Vancouver). As a Global Ambassador, Evan predominantly contributes to the work of Y4N’s policy task force but also supports other projects when possible. He is passionate about policy at the nature-climate nexus that seeks to advance justice and human well-being.
Outside of his involvement with Y4N, Evan works on sustainable land use projects for the environmental consulting company NatureBank. Evan brings a background in research, policy, and project management across the non-profit, governmental, and private sectors, having worked previously at the Human Impacts Institute, City of Whitehorse, and as a consultant to the United Nations Environment Programme. He holds a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences in Political and Environmental Sciences from Quest University Canada and previously studied at the United World College of Costa Rica.
In his free time, you’ll find Evan off hiking in the mountains, listening to podcasts about politics or simply in search of a good conversation over a cup of coffee.
