In advance of the Global Adaptation Summit, Youth4Nature and The Global Youth Biodiversity Network – Mexico, with the support of Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and the Global Commission on Adaptation’s Nature-Based Solution (NBS) Action Track, organized an event to discuss the opportunities and challenges in scaling up implementation of NBS and EBA (ecosystem-based adaptation).
Our event, Youth Leadership in Nature-Based Solutions for Adaptation took place on January 21, 2021 and brought together 15 panelists, 6 moderators, and over 350 audience members for 2.5 hours of thoughtful and compelling discussions.
At GYBN-Mexico and Y4N, we are thrilled with the results of the event! From the compelling points about the opportunities of nature-based solutions, to the challenges raised about the gaps and issues with terminology and practices, to the incredible examples from youth who are leading on NBS (Nature-based solutions) and EBA (Ecosystem-based adaptation) at the local level, we learned a lot and left feeling inspired.
In addition to the full recordings of the event being available online, we have some incredible graphic summaries, thanks to our graphic facilitator Israel Viadest!
We invite you to share the event recording and graphic summaries with your network, to support us in amplifying the leadership of youth in NBS and EBA!
