Financial literacy is a topic not so many understand. Youth and women, who mostly engage in restoration efforts, have a lot to gain by understanding financial ethics, as well as skills for livelihoods and development. We were honored to host our guest for the July edition of the Youth Spotlight Series - Munduru Mwajuma, Founder and Executive Director at Family Uplift Uganda, to delve deeper into this topic, and have an understanding on ways youth and women can engage more in nature, earn an income and explore financial literacy while at it.
From her experience working with women groups and youth to set up cooperatives, and in engaging with youth and women on agribusiness and financial literacy training, this insightful conversation will spark some new thoughts on ways we can link restoration conversations with finances.
βAt Family Uplift Uganda, we've managed to do this through our two projects which are; the agri-preneurship women project and the Financial Education Academy, an institution impacting many in building Financial disciplines, investment, business development and enlightenment about the digital economy.β Mwajuma
