We are specifically seeking 8 Global Ambassadors from South America, Latin America and the Caribbean, North & Southern Africa, and Asia.
Are you a passionate youth leader between the ages of 18-35 who is committed to making a difference in the fight against nature and climate crises? Youth4Nature (Y4N) is looking for motivated young individuals to join our dynamic volunteer team referred to as Global Ambassadors. This is your chance to be at the forefront of a global movement, working alongside like-minded peers to create sustainable change and elevate youth leadership on a global scale.
Who Are Global Ambassadors:
Our volunteer network known as Global Ambassador (GA) are core members directly involved in contributing and decision-making at Youth4Nature. As a by-youth, for-youth organization, Youth4Nature and all of our members believe strongly in retaining our autonomy as young people and as shared decision-makers. We value the input of everyone on our team, and we work actively to support the ability of all to share in decisions, directions, and the future of Youth4Nature. What We Offer:
As a Global Ambassador, you will be a core member of the Y4N team, directly involved in our three main pillars of work based on your interest: Knowledge Sharing, Storytelling, Capacity Building, and Organisational Development. You'll have the opportunity to:
Capacity building, training, and opportunities to attend international events
A loving and vibrant community where you can network and grow
The Global Ambassador Support Fund is used to encourage, support, enable, and recognize the work that Global Ambassadors do for and on behalf of Y4N.
Access to leadership opportunities including; leading projects, supporting and gaining skills in core operational areas
Engage and gain experience in organizational development
Connect with other youths and youth-ally, scientists, experts, and knowledge-holders globally
Gain practical skills and training to advocate for nature-climate solutions
Your Role:
Global Ambassadors play a crucial role in contributing to Y4N’s mission. Responsibilities include:
Providing feedback and input on Y4N projects and initiatives;
Supporting the delivery of Y4N’s events, campaigns, and activities etc. of your interest;
Extending and diversifying Y4N’s reach locally and globally;
Representing Y4N during events online and in-person, as requested and as desired;
Contributing to our wider organisational strategy and visioning; and,
Other tasks as required or desired.
Expectations:
Commit to a weekly involvement of 3-4 hours on average
Engage regularly with Y4N’s work and attend unit-specific meetings
Respond to communications in a timely manner
Participate in monthly Full team meetings
Uphold Y4N’s Community Code; We treat each other with respect, we honour each other’s differences and we admire each other’s individuality and the contribution we each make to protect nature.
